SJV: It's the Water40x26" watercolor on Yupo paper © Kate Jackson 2008
This piece is part of an up coming show by the CHAA (Contemporary Humanistic Artists' Association) in July/August at the Turlock City Hall gallery.
This is my impression of elements of the central valley in California. Water is a primary influence and need to the bounty that is the San Joaquin Valley. Some of the valley runs between two major rivers, and irrigation has brought new life over the centuries. I enjoyed painting with the intense color and levels of glazing to create this striking piece.
