I have a wonderful cactus that blooms at the winter holidays! These plants are incredible, because they take much neglect, and abuse of temperatures, yet loyally put on a show annually! Also, you can root them in water, and they will bloom from there too! After pouring the greens onto the sheet, and waiting to see what patterns and textures the saran made....I was really excited to see this succulent appear. I enjoyed painting various tissues and rice papers to affix on the page, then painting gold iridescent paint and iridescent jade in spots around the painting which reflect the light like candle or firelight of the season.
