This work began in the garden on the Merced Garden Tour.  I began with the shadows being cast on my canvas, using watercolor pencil, and then was inspired by the large granite boulders, the water features and the freesia in front of me, as well as the bright spring colors of all the plantings!  It was a lovely day and a fun painting to work on later to complete.
