STAMP COLLECTION © 2006 Kate Jackson is a a series of four pieces...Stamp Collection 1, 2, 3 & 4 which are 7"x7" mixed media collages, primarily black and white, but with touches of color. Mixed in are fabrics, gesso, watercolor paint and acrylic paint, ink, sheet music, textured papers, netting and a feather. Each was inspired by a postage stamp which is included in the piece. I enjoyed creating these so much, I intend to do more...not necessarily in black and white, but inspired by the stamps I choose, preferably old ones or international ones! HINT HINT.
