Hello Student Artists: New Info for AUGUST 2010

Just a reminder note that new fall classes at the Non-Credit facility begin on August 23rd. I'm excited to bring you new ideas and lessons this fall, in painting and collage (which many are clamoring for!)!!

Class starts Monday, Aug 23rd and meets thru Monday, Dec. 14th. Keep Making ART until then. The plan at the beginning of this semester is to work on making our own collage papers with tissue paper and acrylics with other items, to use in collage paintings. In all classes you'll enjoy the camaraderie of artists at different levels of skill and creativity too! In all the classes I provide some collage and reference materials! All classes are watermedia based, but I have oil, acrylic and mixed media and drawing students too. CHECK ONE OUT if you haven't been for a while. And PLEASE...bring a friend!

Please check the Mixed Media & Collage materials list on my website for what you'll need to get started, or come to class and I will go over it all with you!

MONDAYS
Monday 12-3pm Tri College Center (G & Cormorant), Rm TCC-5A in Merced. Begins Monday, 8/17/ 2009. *Okay to bring lunch, snacks and drinks to class too. You will need a parking pass for the year or weekly parking pass from the machine in the parking lot. ($1.00 weekly) First week is free.

Join local award winning artist/instructor Kate Jackson as she guides you to develop your watercolor skills . Learn the techniques for creating washes, pouring, texture and color mixing.

Kate gives fun exercises and exciting ideas for playing with this flowing, unpredictable medium! All skill levels are welcome and no previous art experience required!

Kate works with each student to increase their abilities from any level.

Wednesdays

Oct 6, through Nov 10
6:00 – 8:30PM / Instructor: Kate Jackson

Fee $60. Supply list will be available before the first class,
students will provide their own supplies with easy explanation for shopping.
